Like the girls…the Melcher-Dallas Boys Basketball Squad must replace most of its top scorers from last season. Robert Bingham returns as the leading scorer as he averaged 10.7 points per game and led the team in assists with 91. Coach Jim Wells says Bingham will need to make the step from a role player to one of the main leaders on the team. Wells adds Junior Deven Breese…and Sophomores Kenneth Wadle and Ross Dawson will be thrown into the varsity fire this season. Wells adds for the most part the guys have been doing well at practice and has been giving the effort he wants to see. Melcher-Dallas tips-off its season Tuesday night with a Bluegrass Conference game at Moravia.
