Though unemployment in the U.S. remained unchanged and increased in Iowa the rate of jobless workers in Marion County decreased slightly for the month of October.

IN THE PAST TWENTY FOUR HOURS THE MARION COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO SIX CALLS FOR SERVICE. INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THREE MOTORIST ASSISTS, ONE THEFT, AND TWO REQUESTS FOR ASSISTANCE.

THE MARION COUNTY JAIL IS CURRENTLY HOLDING TWELVE SUBJECTS,

IN THE PAST TWENTY FOUR HOURS NO ONE WAS BOOKED INTO THE MARION COUNTY JAIL.

AS WITH ANY CRIMINAL CASE, A CHARGE IS MERELY AN ACCUSATION AND A DEFENDANT IS PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY

Northwestern Overpowers Central Women in Orange City

The Central College women’s basketball team held their own with undefeated Northwestern College for nearly an entire half, but the Red Raiders soon overpowered the Dutch on the way to a 90-52 victory yesterday in the Pizza Ranch Classic in Orange City.
