As successful as the members of the Pella High football team were ON the field this season, they also had a large contingency of athletes who continued to be successful OFF the field.  With the recent release of the All-District teams for District 7 also came the announcement of the Academic All-District team – consisting of athletes who also maintain a high grade point average in addition to their efforts in football.  This year Pella landed 16 football players on the All-Academic Team for District  7, which were: Tim Argo, Jordan Baker, Chris Bandstra, Jesse Blauw, Spencer Boeyink, Taylor Cox, Sam Davis, Jacob De Waard, Grant Gustaffson, Brannon Johnson, Drew Kleis, Will Loux, Jakob Steenhoek, Ryan Van Norden, Jon Van Zee and Jake Wassenaar. Of that list, seven players were starters on offense or defense. The Pella football team finished the 2010 season with a 12-1 overall record and advanced to the Class 3-A Semifinals for the third consecutive year.
