Pella Regional Health Center Finishes Runner Up in 3M Competition

Last month, the Nursing Quality Council at Pella Regional Health Center created a video to encourage staff to prevent Urinary Tract Infections by limiting the use catheters. The adaptation of Tears for Fears “Shout” was entered into a contest for the 3M “Innovation Award”, which was open to health care facilities across the country. The video received more than 2,200 votes during a two week public voting phase and and won a runner-up award. Due to the runner-up finish, Pella Regional Health Center receives a $1,000 educational grant from 3M to continue its innovative initiative.
