The Marion County Secondary Roads Department has been very busy this fall making up for time lost due to a wet spring and summer. Engineer Roger Schletzbaum tells KNIA/KRLS news when the damage from this summer’s storms was compiled there were roughly 155 sites that needed repairs. 100 of the sites have already been taken care of by the secondary roads department with the larger projects being contracted out to various companies and Schletzbaum says the majority of projects are ahead of schedule. He says as long as the weather cooperates they should be able to have all of the planned projects completed before Thanksgiving.
