Shopping Local Keeps Money in the Community

Shoppers everywhere will be getting up early on Friday to take advantage of the deals offered on Black Friday. Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year, and the day the officially kicks off the holiday shopping season. Director of the Pella Chamber of Commerce Karen Eischen says that it’s very important to shop local to keep the community sustainable. Studies show that when items are purchased at a local store, that money circulates within the community seven times.
