The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in special session yesterday morning to prioritize improvement projects for county facilities.

Several projects were discussed including painting of the exterior of storage sheds, repairing a fence around the lagoon, several courthouse improvements including an electric and data upgrade, repair of the ceiling of the bell tower, replacement of the elevator and fire alarm system. In addition, the board mentioned shingling needed to be replaced at the Department of Human Services building and outdoor tile on the east side is causing poor drainage.

No formal decisions were made, though the bell tower and runoff issue at the DHS building were listed as top priorities. The board will further discuss these projects when they continue to work on the budget.
