Friends, family and other residents of Pella packed the Vermeer Auditorium at Pella Christian High School tonight for the 2011 Tulip Queen Announcement Party. Twelve finalists were judged on personality, poise, voice, appearance and interviews by a panel of thirty-six judges. After the girls gave their three minute presentations, the judges tallied up the scores and selected the 2011 Tulip Time Royal Court and Queen. The members of the Royal Court are Karissa Schaudt, Rachel Greving, Tricia Wisniewski, Leah Englebrecht and Kristi Van Wyk. Tricia Wisniewski was elected the 2011 Tulip Queen. The first event for the queen and her court will be on November 27th at the Sinterklaas parade.
