The Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, and Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle rollover and fire north of the Mile Long Bridge on Highway 14.
The initial report of the accident came in around 7:45pm. KNIA/KRLS news was on the scene as fire fighters fought the cold winds to extinguish the blaze. A red Dodge pickup entered the east ditch just north of the Mile Long Bridge. The truck lost its topper, rolled further into the ditch coming to rest on its top and at some point became fully engulfed in flames. When first responders arrived at the scene, the driver of the vehicle was not in or near the truck. Fire fighters and sheriff’s deputies scoured the area around the accident in attempt to locate the individual and as this update is being posted Mercy One is also on the scene to help find the driver.

KNIA/KRLS News will bring you more information as soon as it becomes official.
