It’s time to be prepared for winter driving and while it’s necessary to drive safe, it’s equally important to be prepared in case an accident happens. Pella Police Lt. John Van Haaften tells KNIA/KRLS News that you can never have too many coats or blankets in your car to keep you warm until help arrives. Van Haaften adds that a cell phone is a great tool and to never hesitate to call 911 if there has been an accident. He says a first aid kit and a flashlight are also important things to keep in an easy to reach place inside your vehicle.
