Central Fall Athletes Earn Academic Honors

Central College has landed 41 student-athletes on the fall sports academic all-Iowa Conference team.  Central volleyball standout Chelsea Grieger of Pella and football players Lee Schroeder and Ross Doehrmann were among the athletes for the Dutch who excelled in the classroom, as well as on the field. 

Central had 17 players on the football squad honored, with eight athletes in women’s volleyball, five in women’s tennis, three in women’s cross country, three in men’s soccer, three in women’s soccer and two in women’s golf. 

Last year the Dutch landed 32 student-athletes on the fall academic team with nine on the winter squad and 11 on the spring sports team.
