Central College men’s soccer players Brett McKenzie and Cody Jandik have received all-North Region recognition from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. McKenzie – a senior forward – was a second-team all-region pick for the Dutch, while fellow senior Jandik was a third-team choice as a midfielder.

Earlier tabbed as the Iowa Conference MVP – a first in the program’s history – McKenzie was a three-time league pick. He was selected the conference’s offensive player of the week twice (September 13th and October 25th) and led the league in goals with 11 and game-winning goals with 5. He closed his Central career setting a record in game-winning goals with 15. He was second in shots (240), second in shots on goal (114) and third in goals (38).

Jandik, a four-time league pick, received all-West Region honors in 2007. He tied the league for third in assists with five. In his Central career, Jandik was third in shots on goal (88), tied for fifth in goals (24) and was sixth in assists (15).

The Dutch compiled a 13-5 overall record in 2010, going 5-3 in conference play, and advanced to the conference tournament for the ninth straight year under coach Garry Laidlaw.
