The holiday season is the busiest time of the year for postal carriers and delivery services. In fact, the United States Postal Service is expecting a 4-6 percent increase in priority mail this holiday season. Those who wish to send cards or packages to loved ones for Christmas need to remember the cut-off dates to make sure they are delivered on time. Priority mail sent to soldiers overseas or international relatives need to be postmarked by December 10th. Letters, cards and packages sent first class need to be dropped off by December 20th and the domestic priority mail deadline is December 21st.

Those who wish to send packages via FedEx have until December 17th for materials sent via standard ground shipping though express shipping is also available for an additional cost up until Thursday the 23rd.
