Due to the blizzard that swept through Marion County this weekend the City of Knoxville had a snow ordinance in effect from 7pm Saturday through shortly after 9am yesterday. According to Therese Augustin with the Knoxville Police Department a total of 67 ordinance violations were issued.

Police Chief Dan Losada says he was disappointed in the number of violations but overall most people did fine with the first large snowfall of the season.

As a reminder those who do not obey the snow ordinances are subject to a fine for not complying with the rules and responsibilities.
