On October 26th, work began to replace the water mains on North Main Street from Jefferson to Elm. Pella Public Works Director Denny Buyert Tells KNIA/KRLS News that within the next two days, the contractor will be stopping construction for the winter and the detour will be removed. Buyert adds that they have completed over 1500 feet of new water mains, which is half of what needs to be done. No official date has been set for when the detour will be removed but KNIA/KRLS News will keep you informed as it becomes official.
