Over two months ago, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reduced Lake Red Rock’s reservoir pool level to 732 feet from 742. The purpose of the project was to allow flood recovery work to take place such as repairing the tainter gate lifting cables on the Lake Red Rock Dam. The drawdown was originally scheduled to be completed in mid-December, but due to slight design modifications, the drawdown has been extended to February 12, 2011.
