The Minnesota State Patrol reports that a Knoxville woman was killed early Wednesday morning in a semi-tractor accident in Jackson County, Minnesota. Records show that Laura Gilpin, 47 of Knoxville was a passenger in a semi driven by Thomas Gilpin, 50 also of Knoxville, when the vehicle veered off of the road at approximately 3:30 AM, struck a power pole, continued into a field, and tipped on its side. Laura Gilpin was ejected through the left side of the sleeper body. Thomas Gilpin suffered non-life threatening injuries.
