Christmas eve is on Friday and people all over the country will be piling into stores to try to purchase last minute gifts for loved ones. Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Executive Office Coordinator Jessie Wilson encourages shoppers to help support the local economy. Wilson says there is everything from locally brewed beer to books, jewelry and electronics. Pella Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Karen Eischen echoes Wilson’s comments. She adds that often times trips to bigger cities end up costing more money and time than shopping locally.
