Due to the drawdown at Lake Red Rock and 2008 flood recovery funds, The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers has been able to work on North Overlook Beach. Park Ranger Junifer Kruse says that the new bathrooms and concession stand have been completed and will be ready to be used when the beach opens in the summer. She adds that they will include eight family restrooms and 6 change facilities. Park Ranger Tracy Spry says that this is an ongoing project. She adds that the contractor is now constructing the high level parking lot and adding sand to the beach.
