Last season, the Knoxville varsity boys and girls basketball teams made a combined total of 230 3-point baskets, the most in recent history. This year, the goal is to continue to increase that total which will also increase the amount of money raised for the Knoxville Education Foundation. For the tenth consecutive year, the foundation is holding their “Shooting for the Future” fundraiser which asks Panther fans to donate a set amount per 3-point basket made. There is a minimum of a quarter donation per basket made and participants will receive a bill at the end of the season. Those interested in the program should contact Foundation President David Hoke at Iowa State Savings Bank or Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack at the Knoxville School Administration office.
