The Pella Christian girls will face as tough string of road games to start 2011. The girls will continue to practice and scrimmage throughout the holiday break, they will restart the season in January with three straight games on the road.

First off for the Eagles, they will travel to South Tama on January 4th. They will then head to Newton on January 7th and Chariton a day later. It will be a tough test for the Eagles, as they’ve only been tested on the road once this season, but it seems as though this team is ready.

They’re currently 4-1 on the year, and hold the #5 spot in the most recent Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union Rankings. Makenzie Vander Molen leads the team thus far with 9.5 ppg. Regan Cooper isn’t far behind posting 9.0 ppg for the Eagles. Kelsey Fynaardt leads the team in rebounds with 29. Makenzie Vander Molen is the assists leader with 16, and Hali Steenhoek leads the team in steals with 11.
