Two Risk and Margin Management Workshops will be held in January for Iowa cattle producers according to Marion County Extension Director Dale Miller. The workshops will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on January 11th and 12th. The workshop on January 11 will be in Pella at the Comfort Inn and on January 12 it will be at the Jefferson County Extension Office in Fairfield. The sessions will demonstrate cash market, futures, options and livestock insurance products while keeping an eye on the margin available to the producer before or during the actual feeding period. There is a $25 fee payable at the door to cover meal, promotion and room expenses and you can register by calling the Lucas County Extension Office at 641-774-2016.
