The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that roadways in the area are up to 100% snow and ice covered and slick. They advise caution as we travel this morning. The Iowa DOT reports that many roadways throughout the state are snow and ice covered. The Marion County engineers office tells KNIA/KRLS News that snowplows will begin work at 7 this morning, with road graders working on county gravel roads tomorrow morning. One to three inches of snow is expected today with a high of 32 degrees. Please take extra time as you travel this morning, slow down, drive cautiously and please give our first responders and road crews plenty of room to work safely. The one to count on for the most up to date travel conditions is KNIA/KRLS.
