The Marion County Board of Supervisors discussed ongoing projects and operations with Engineer Roger Schletzbaum at their special meeting this week. Schletzbaum told the supervisors they are still waiting on reimbursement from FEMA for the disaster repairs they made this fall and hope that money will be available in the near future.

In addition, he mentioned that he is working with several other counties and the Iowa Department of Transportation to standardize all entrances and exits of highway 92 in the state. Schletzbaum says this will likely be a multiple year process that involves between 25 and 30 different agencies.

Another project the engineer’s office is currently working on is an overview of the highway T-15 corridor between Attica road and G-28 in Pella in order to make sure it is safe and all signage is correct.
