A sprint car fan from Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada will receive a nice early Christmas present courtesy of the National Sprint Car Museum. Tom Kusznier is the winner of the museum’s 8th biennial sprint car raffle and will receive a brand new state-of-the-art J&J Auto Racing chassis with a new Paul Kistler built 410 cubic-inch racing engine. Tickets for the raffle were sold all around the country over the past 18 months as the raffle car made its way across the U.S. and Kusznier purchased his tickets at the Knoxville Nationals and the Charlotte World of Outlaws World Finals.

In addition to the grand prize, Joe Wood Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was drawn as the winner of a brand-new tire stagger dyno and Lyman Witmer of Pine Grove Pennsylvania is the lucky winner of a new driver suit.

All proceeds from the raffle go to support the non-profit National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum and Executive Director Bob Baker says everyone’s support truly allows them to continue to promote the future of sprint car racing by preserving its past history.

The total amount of money raised from the raffle was not known at the time this story was posted, but Museum Curator Tom Schmeh said their goal was to raise at least $100,000 and he is certain they were able to surpass that amount.
