The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released its second rankings list for girls basketball yesterday, with one local team holding steady in the standings. The Pella girls basketball team remains at No. 5 in the Class 3-A standings. The Lady Dutch’s only game has been a loss, but that came at the hands of Ballard, which remains at No. 1 this week. A pair of nearby schools remain in the top 15 in Class 1-A, as the North Mahaska girls held on to the No. 3 spot this week, while Lynville-Sully slid four spots to No. 11. Martensdale St. Mary’s is the top ranked team in Class 1-A; OA-BCIG remains atop Class 2-A, and Des Moines East holds the number one slot in Class 4-A.
