Over 260 drivers from 29 states and Australia and New Zealand are in Tulsa, Oklahoma this week for the 25th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals. Of the over 260 drivers four have ties to the local area with three of them regular drivers at the Knoxville Raceway. Wayne Johnson, who has recovered from career threatening injuries last summer is entered and will race Thursday night. Don Droud Jr., is entered to race on Friday, and reigning Knoxville 410 Champion Brian Brown is entered to race on Friday as well. Also, a stock car driver from Oskaloosa, Tyler Gronendyk is scheduled to race on Friday. There will be four preliminary nights of racing starting tomorrow night with the championship races scheduled for Saturday. Sammy Swindell is the defending champion, and he is entered in the Chili Bowl.
