The Central College basketball teams return home today for a women’s/men’s doubleheader with Cornell College.  The Central women are looking for their first win in Iowa Conference play, following a 106-58 drubbing at the hands of Simpson College on Wednesday.  

Cornell narrowly edged the Dutch in both games last season, and are 2-4 in league play after surprising Luther College Wednesday night at Mount Vernon.

In the men’s game, the Dutch will try and rebound from a 10-point loss to Simpson and pull both their overall and conference records to .500.  The Rams are 1-5 in the conference after a loss to the Norse on Wednesday.  

The womens’ contest begins at 4:00 pm, with the men to follow at roughly 6:00 pm at P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium in Pella.  Both games will be broadcast live on 92.1 fm KRLS with Eric Gotschall providing the play-by-play.  Coverage begins at 3:45 and will also be available online at kniakrls.com.
