Central came out strong on Wednesday night, but couldn’t hold their early 9 point edge, as they fell to Simpson College 82-72. Two Central players marked career highs in the game, Demarco Turner tied his career best with 25 points and forward Chris Lehmann added a career-high 14 points.

Central drops to 6-7 overall, with a 2-3 Iowa Conference record. Although the Dutch outrebounded the Storm 37-32, 17 turnovers proved to be the difference in the game. Simpson improves to 6-8, with a 3-2 Iowa Conference.

Central is at home Saturday, with a women’s-men’s doubleheader against Cornell College. The women’s game tips off at 4 p.m. Cornell, while the men will start at 6PM. The Rams are 6-9 overall, with a 1-5 conference mark after coming off a 70-55 loss to Luther College Wednesday.
