Two players hit their career highs but the Central College men’s basketball team couldn’t find an answer for Simpson College in an 82-72 defeat last night.  The Dutch held a nine-point lead at one point in the first half, but the Storm bounced back to take a 29-27 lead to the locker room and held the advantage for the rest of the game.

Guard Demarco Turner tied his career high with 25 points, while forward Chris Lehmann also had a career-high 14 points.  The loss drops the Central men below .500 at 6-7 overall and 2-3 in the Iowa Conference.  The Dutch are at home Saturday to face Cornell College in a women’s and men’s doubleheader.  The Rams are 1-5 in the conference after falling to Luther College last night.
