Central College women just can’t seem to kick their cold-shooting. It continued Wednesday night as Simpson College routed the Dutch 106-58.

With the loss Central falls to 3-11 overall, with a 0-5 conference record. Central shot just 23.3% from the field in the first half, while committing 20 turnovers. They improved their shooting to just over 30% by the end of the game, but it wasn’t enough to propel them after being down by 30 at halftime.

Simpson improved to 11-3 overall, with a 5-0 conference record with the win.

Central is at home Saturday, with a women’s-men’s doubleheader against Cornell College. The women’s game tips off at 4 p.m. Cornell. Cornell is 7-6 overall and 2-4 in league play after a win over Luther College Wednesday night 61-54.

Both games will be broadcast on 92.1FM KRLS and streamed on KNIAKRLS.com.
