The group led by three time gubernatorial candidate Bob Vander Plaats announced today it will host a presidential lecture series in Pella. Beginning in February, several prominent political figures will travel to Pella Christian High School, Dordt College in Sioux Center and the University of Iowa. The series begins Monday, February 7th with former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty. According to Julie Summa of The Family Leader, the primary purpose of the Presidential Lecture Series is to provide these national figures with a pre-planned, full day in Iowa to introduce them to the Grassroots and to allow citizens an opportunity to become better informed.
