The City Manager hiring process continues in Knoxville this afternoon. As previously reported by KNIA/KRLS news Brimeyer-Fursman, the search firm contracted through the City to aid in the process, received a total of 83 applications for the position. The search firm has since narrowed the list of candidates down to 12 which will be presented to the City Council at a special meeting at 3pm Wednesday.

Current City Manager Dick Schrad says at the meeting the council will chose who they feel are the top 5 candidates and those individuals will then be invited to two days worth of interviews here in Knoxville on January 28th and 29th.

The meeting will take place in the council chambers of the Knoxville City Hall.
