The Knoxville Girls Basketball squad had a night if it went wrong it did. The Panthers were soundly defeated by South Tama last night 73-31. Knoxville lead early three/two but South Tama ended the first quarter on a 14-3 run, then rung up 26 points in the second stanza to take a 42-13 lead behind strong post play. Coach Jim Utiermarkt said mistakes compounded a frustrating night. Alex Abens led Knoxville with nine points. The Panthers fall to 5-10 on the season, and 2-6 in conference play. Knoxville travels to Grinnell on Friday.
