The February fifth Coaches vs. Cancer night at Knoxville High School is rapidly approaching. As has been the case the first two years there will be a silent auction. Right now Girls Coach Jim Utiermarkt says over 150 items are up for auction ranging from activity passes for sporting events to a five-hour D-J service. Utiermarkt adds that the girls basketball squad has also stepped up to secure items for the action. He adds one item that was obtained by Gretchen Hileman was an autographed T-Shirt by NASCAR Driver Kasey Kahne. Utiermarkt says he wanted the girls to have more of a role in the night than just the game.
