State Climatologist Harry Hillaker says it’s still too early to tell precisely what the spring season will bring, but says there is a slight increase in the chance for flooding. He says that slight increase is due to relatively high river levels right now in addition to a colder than normal winter. Hillaker adds we are currently in a wet period which could contribute to spring floods if temperatures remain low and snow continues to pile up.
