After getting no wrestlers into the state tournament last season…Knoxville will return to the state meet next week boasting of two grapplers. Jay Fresh continued his domating season winning the district and qualifying in the 103 pound weight class. Fresh will take a 32-1 record in the state meet. Also qualifying for Knoxville was 171 pounder Skyler Spaur. Spaur has had a solid year in his own right at 24-4. The State Meet is next week Wednesday-through-Saturday. Meanwhile, Seven area wrestlers advanced to Wells Fargo arena with their performance in Districts on Saturday. The P-C-M Mustangs have four wrestlers involved in the state meet. The Mustangs crowned three champions on Saturday including Dalton Kingery at 119, Bryce Wignall at 130, and Dustin Moore at 215. P-C-M will also be represented by Trent Little who finished runner-up at 160 pounds. Pleasantville sent three wrestlers through to the state meet, and all three Trojans finished runner-up. Wes Prill at 140, Tasker Phillips at 145 and Phil Lumley at 215.
