Several political figures have been in Pella over the last week to listen to the needs of area businesses as the country continues to rebound from a severe recession. Karen Eishen, Director of the Pella Chamber of Commerce says she isn’t surprised by attention paid to local business leaders when talk turns to economic development. She says it’s a reflection of the talent found within the local workforce. Eishen says one goal for the Chamber this year is to better facilitate communication between local businesses and the government.
