Extension Office to Offer Free Spring Workshops

The Marion County Extension Office will once again be offering free spring workshops this year. The five week series begins March 5th and will touch on a variety of topics including pruning trees and shrubs, composting, gardening 101, container gardening and making moss baskets. The short hands-on courses take place on Saturday mornings and aim to inspire confidence in each homeowner whether they are caring for a city lot of 5 acres in the country and provide them with the knowledge to be successful.

Pruning Trees and Shrubs – Saturday March 5th 10:30am-noon – 1828 Highway T15
Composting - Saturday April 2nd 10:30am-noon – Marion County Extension Office – 1445 Lake Drive, Knoxville
Gardening 101 – Saturday April 16th 10:30am-noon – Marion County Extension Office – 1445 Lake Drive, Knoxville
Container Gardening – Saturday April 23rd 10:30am-noon – Marion County Extension Office – 1445 Lake Drive, Knoxville
Making Moss Baskets – Saturday May 21st 10:30am-noon – Marion County Extension Office – 1445 Lake Drive, Knoxville
