Back in December, the Knoxville Hormel Plant donated more than 5,500 pounds of food to the KNIA/KRLS food drive and due to their successful efforts, Plant Manager Troy Hawkshead had to fulfill his end of the bargain. Hawksead told his team that if they raised 400 pounds of food he would spend a night in the Marion County Jail. Clearly, that goal was surpassed and Hawkshead lived up to his promise by putting on an orange jumpsuit and spending Super Bowl Sunday behind bars. Hawkshead checked into the facility around 6:30pm Sunday and will take the “walk of shame” back to the plant at sunrise Monday morning. He says if he is going to spend a night in jail, this is the best reason to do it.
