For months the Knoxville High School has been preparing for this weekend’s Coaches vs. Cancer fundraisers. Students, teachers, coaches, parents and community members have been collecting silent auction items, setting up donation jars, selling t-shirts and temporary tattoos and establishing an honor wall. Varsity girls basketball player Katie Ayers encourages everyone to come support their efforts and says this is a good opportunity for everyone to work together.

Last year, the event raised $12,000 making it the top Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser in the state. This year’s goal is to beat that record.

In addition to the basketball games and dinner there will also be pink treats for sale, a quilt raffle and the silent auction. All Panther fans are encouraged to wear pink and come support the fight against cancer.
