A season of improvement was made by the Knoxville Wrestling Squad. After not sending any grapplers to the state meet last season the Panthers sent two this season. 103 pounder Jay Fresh finished sixth and 171 pound grappler Skylar Spaur placed eighth. Coach Eric Whitcome says the top goal was to get better this season and show everyone that Knoxville Wrestling is coming back. Whitcome says nest season will really test the team as the Panthers will upgrade the schedule even more with a dual meet in Newton and another meet at Johnston. Whitcome says to get where they want to be, they must wrestle some of the top competition.
