As the size and scope of Iowa government changes with new leadership in the House and on Terrace Hill, the Iowa Workforce Development office will also be seeing some changes. Under the new plans, the IWD’s 55 field offices would be consolidated into 16 regional offices. Kerry Koonce of Iowa Workforce Development says the office in Pella would close and the services it currently provides would be available through the library or the ISU Extension Office. The restructuring would eliminate one full time position in Pella.
