The Pella girls headed to South Tama Thursday night, in hopes of getting a win and a share of the conference title. The cold second half shooting iced the Lady Dutch’s chance to win, as they fell to the Trojans 56-53 in a game broadcast on 92.1 FM KRLS and streamed live at kniakrls.com.

Pella jumped out on the Trojans early, and once led by as many as 11 points in the first half, but the Trojans came roaring back with the help of numerous trips to the free throw line. South Tama added 25 point from the charity stripe. In the end, it was close, but Pella could not find their shot in the second half.

MacKenzie Vander Molen had a game high 20 points and Lindsay Bentzinger added 16 of her own.

Pella falls to 11-2 in conference play heading in to the regular season finale at Knoxville tonight. You can hear Pella at Knoxville on 92.1 FM KRLS and streamed live at kniakrls.com. Eric Gotschall and Randy Sikkema will have the call.
