A  22-8 run in by the Pella Christian boys basketball team in the third quarter broke last night’s Class 2-A District Final wide open, as the Eagles defeated Davis County 63-42 in a game streamed live on kniakrls.com.

Pella Christian started a bit slowly, as their first lead came with 3:00 left in the first quarter, but after that, it was all Eagles, as the Mustangs simply looked overmatched the rest of the way.

All five starters for Pella Christian hit double figures in scoring; led by Chase Carlson’s 17 points and Kyle Nikkel’s 10-point, 13-rebound performance.

The Pella Christian boys are now 19-5 overall and will face Panorama on Saturday in Indianola.  The Panthers knocked off Nodaway Valley 59-58 in last night’s District 14 final.
