The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session this morning. At the meeting the board appointed Howard Pothoven and Craig Agan to the Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority, received a presentation from Veenstra and Kim along with Knoxville City Manager Dick Schrad and Public Works Director Jeff May about the Knoxville Streetscape master plan and it’s impact on the courthouse grounds and access. The board also heard from Charlotte Shivers and Peggy Terpstra about the new Rural History Buffs of Marion County organization and their goals to identify and educate residents and tourists about the historic sites in the area. They also awarded a contract to Seaton Construction of Deep River, Iowa for the final 14 sites included in the disaster recovery repair project, approved a third change order for the Marion County North Annex building remodel project and received and approved a budget request from the Marion County Libraries that is the same as the current fiscal year.
