Connecting with children, establishing relationships, trust and respect are a few of the qualities our February Ulrich Ford and Lincoln Radio Teacher of the Month feels are important in the teaching profession. Christa Willis, Special Education Teacher at Knoxville Middle School says the fact that she can relate to her students though simple things like similar musical interests and her love for cartoons makes it easy for them to make that crucial connection. Willis says that seeing improvements in her students’ work, large or small, help remind her that she is making a difference and helps her keep going forward.

As the February Ulrich Ford and Lincoln Radio Teacher of the Month, Willis will receive a $250 check to Knoxville Middle School to be used how she chooses and the use of the Teacher of the Month car courtesy of Ulrich Ford and Lincoln in Pella.
