The Central College men’s basketball team jumped out in front of Simpson early and never relinquished the lead on their way to a 74-55 victory over the Storm last night in Pella.  The win avenged an 82-72 loss to Simpson earlier this season.

DeMarco Turner led the Dutch with 22 points, including four three-pointers, and seven assists.  Turner moved into third place on Central’s all-time leader board for 3-point field goals made in a season with 61.

Another highlight for the Dutch came from forward Chris Lehman, who snagged a career-high 14 rebounds.  The Central men are now 12-10 overall and 8-6 in the Iowa Conference going into Saturday’s game at Cornell.  The Dutch defeated the Rams 77-70 earlier this season in Pella.
