Knoxville School Board members Mark Mahoney and Leslie Miller will join 22 other community members on a committee that is looking into what it will take to build an auditorium in the district. Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says the committee has several tasks they need to work on, including financing, location, size and features. The volunteers will discuss these topics through a series of meetings and possible trips to other districts to tour their facilities. Dr. Flack says he’s not sure how fast the process will move forward but he is willing to go as fast as the committee chooses until they submit a proposal to the board of education. He says he assumes they will at least a progress report to the board by the end of May.
