Marion County Cattlemen are watching the legislative session closely this session. Tim Van Roekel, President of the Marion County Cattlemen’s association tells KNIA/KRLS news that the legislature is currently considering legislation making it illegal for animal rights activists to obtain jobs at animal facilities under false pretenses or take photographs or videos of farm operations while undercover. Van Roekel says the association is in support of the legislation, and urges constituents to contact their legislators and urge them to vote in favor of it.
